What is Reiki?
Pronounced “ray-key” and meaning universal life-force energy. The existence
of 
"energy" and the important role it plays in our well being has always been
recognised in Eastern medical schools of therapy.
Reiki, Acupuncture, Tai Chi and Yoga are all based on the principal of maintaining
the free flow of energy in a person, to sustain good health and balance.
Reiki is an original method of healing developed by Dr Mikao Usui (1865-1926)
in
Japan early in the 20th century and can be used for self healing, the healing
of others
and distant healing. Reiki is very easy to learn and suitable for new borns to
the elderly.
It can also be applied to animals with their vet’s prior approval.
Reiki is not just a healing treatment, it is a way of life.
The five spiritual principles of Reiki are:
1. Just for today do not worry.
2. Just for today do not anger.
3. Earn your living honestly.
4. Show gratitude to every living thing.
5. Honour your parents, teachers and elders.
MY REIKI JOURNEY
I started my Reiki journey in 2003, becoming a Reiki Master in 2007 and Reiki Master Teacher in 2010. I offer one–to–one Usui Reiki healing and Reiki Drum. I am a Reiki Master Teacher/Practioner Member of the UK Reiki Federation, teaching Reiki from Level 1 to Master Teacher Level.
Reiki Treatment
You can either lie on a couch or sit in a reclining chair whichever you prefer. With no need to remove any clothing, Reiki energy passes easily through all materials, including plaster casts. I will gently place my hands on or over the body.
The initial treatment lasts up to an hour and a half, with follow on treatments an hour. Most clients find Reiki treatment very relaxing and say they feel a true sense of well being afterwards.
Fee:£50 per hour session
I also offer a distant healing service, please email me the names of the people or animals to whom you would like reiki healing sent. There is no charge for this service, I just ask you to pay it forward.
1st Degree Reiki Course
The beginning of your Reiki journey is very much about self healing, focussing on the physical level.
It's a 2 day course incorporating a history of Reiki, an explanation of what Reiki is and how to use it and the Reiki 1 attunements.
With Reiki 1 you can give self- healing and healing to friends and family and to your own and friends’ animals, with their vets’ approval.

2nd Degree Reiki Course
A 2 day course broadening your Reiki knowledge and healing skills. Reiki 2 training includes:
A Review of Reiki 1 wherein students can ask any questions and share their Reiki experiences.
The Reiki 2 attunements; the Reiki 2 symbols and mantras and the practice of distant healing.
Reiki 2 manual accompanies course.
With Reiki 2 and adequate insurance cover you can practise Reiki therapy for the public and their animals with their vets’ approval, in accordance with the Veterinary Surgeons Act of 1996.
3rd Degree Reiki
Course
Reiki Master and Reiki Master Teacher. The 3rd Degree initiation is the apprenticeship to becoming a Reiki Master – a spiritual path and lifelong commitment which should not be undertaken lightly.
Not everyone wishing to take their Reiki to Master level intends to teach so I will separate Reiki Master and Teacher into two courses if required. You will know if you are ready for this next step along your Reiki path.
